Wellness Center Rules

  1. Members age 15 years and older may use the Wellness Center unsupervised.
    ORIENTATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  2. Members ages 9-14 years old may use the Wellness Center ONLY after attending Youth Fit Program and MUST exercise with an adult at all times

  3. Only proper attire and athletic shoes should be worn in the wellness center. (No denim, open toe or open heel shoes allowed)

  4. No food or drink allowed in wellness center other than bottled water


Fitness Orientation

  1. This Is A Free Service To Our Members! (One hour session)

  2. Are you a new member or a current member who is not sure how to use the equipment? Do you need some guidance and direction on how to get your exercise program started? Schedule an appointment with one of the fitness staff at the back desk!


Fitness Assessment

  1. Registration: Ongoing

  2. Session Times: By appointment only (one-hour session)

  3. Ages: 15 years old and up.

  4. Fee: $30.00 - member, $40.00 - participant

  5. Designed to help set a starting point for those beginning an exercise plan. This session records body fat, blood pressure, range of motion, resting heart rate, and muscular strength and endurance.


Personal Training

  1. Registration: Ongoing

  2. Session times by appointment only (one-hour sessions) Call 903-729-3139 to set up your appointment

  3. Basic Training: $30.00/session member - $60.00/session - participant

  4. Advanced Training: $40/session member - $85/session participant

  5. Advanced Training, semi-private sessions, available upon request

  6. Call for discounted rates on packages of 3,5, & 10 sessions as well as semi-private rates.

  7. A great motivation tool! Let our certified personal fitness trainers help you reach your personal fitness goal, regardless of skill level. The first session includes a fitness assessment to benchmark progress, with the second session to establish a recommended workout strategy.


Youth Fit Program

  1. Registration Form

  2. Registration: By session only

  3. Ages: 9 - 14 years old

  4. Fee: $25.00 per session

  5. Members and guests under the age of 15 may not enter the Wellness Center unless they have completed this program. This program certifies children 9 - 14 to enter the Wellness Center. It is a structured session designed to teach proper form and technique for various exercises.


Climbing Wall Hours

Climbing Wall Waiver (Must be signed before use)

Monday - Thursday: 4 - 8 pm
Friday: 4 - 7 pm


Climbing Wall Rules and Regulations

  1. Climbers may only climb during posted climbing wall hours and when qualified climbing staff is on duty.

  2. All climbers must have a signed waiver on file to climb.

  3. Athletic shoes or climbing shoes must be worn at all times.

  4. Athletic type clothing is recommended when climbing.

  5. All climbers must go through an orientation before climbing.

  6. Children/youth 5-12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

  7. Children/youth must be at least 9 years of age to use the wall without a parent or guardian with them.

  8. Children/youth must be at least 14 years of age to become belay trained and belay others on the wall.

  9. Minimum weight limit for automatic belays is 30 lbs. with a maximum weight limit of 375 lbs. per person.

  10. Horse play, bouncing off the wall or swinging on ropes is strictly prohibited.

  11. Check safety system and communicate with partner before each climb/belay.

  12. Only YMCA approved equipment can be used in the climbing center.

  13. Report all unsafe climbers/equipment to the climbing wall staff.

  14. Be respectful of others.  No climbing over or above other climbers.

  15. When climbing, don’t attempt to sit on the walls when you reach the top.

  16. Descending is by belay only.  No climbing back down the wall.

  17. No stretching below the climbing wall during scheduled climbing sessions.

  18. Show common courtesy and respect to all climbers/boulderers.

  19. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to climb, climbing is limited to 30-minute sessions.

  20. No food, drink, or gum allowed in climbing area.

  21. Climbing sessions will be limited to one boulderer, six climbers, and three belayers at one time.

  22. Violation of climbing wall rules will result in loss of climbing privileges.


Racquetball Courts

  1. Players must be properly attired for participation in racquetball courts. Athletic shoes must be worn at all times. No street/casual shoes with black soles.

  2. Eye guards must be worn at all times in the court. Eye guards must be worn over eye glasses. No exceptions.

  3. Players must provide their own equipment (racquets, balls, and eyewear). Equipment is sold at the YMCA.

  4. Doors must be closed when racquetball courts are in use.

  5. Players must call or sign reservation sheet at the back scan desk and reserve a court at least one hour in advance. Players may reserve a court 24 hours in advance.

  6. Reservations are made for a time period of one hour per day and participants must leave the court at the end of that time unless the next players have not yet arrived.

  7. Unreserved courts may be used by signing the reservation sheet posted at the back scan desk.

  8. Late arrivals relinquish their court reservation after a 10-minute grace period.

  9. Cut-throat and doubles play are limited to one hour only.

  10. Participants will be removed from the facility for abuse of the court area.

  11. All children/youth 5 - 14 years of age must have a parent or guardian present at all times. No exceptions.

  12. No food, drink, or gum allowed in racquetball courts.

  13. Violation of racquetball rules will result in loss of court privileges.
